Navina Chhabria is an illustrator and author based in Michigan.
Since the beginning of her career, her artistic practice has focused on storytelling through vibrant, culturally rooted imagery, characterized by bold color, rich pattern, and expressive, character-driven compositions. Influenced by her Indian heritage, her work often celebrates themes of identity, food, and everyday life, with a particular emphasis on strong female characters and inclusive narratives. Her visual language blends digital and traditional techniques, combining texture, light, and movement to create imagery that feels both dynamic and inviting.
She collaborates across children’s publishing, editorial, and commercial projects, with her work appearing in picture books, educational materials, and packaging for clients including General Mills, Publix, and Texas Highways Magazine. In addition to her illustration work, she is the author-illustrator of the picture book Raaga’s Song, a story inspired by Indian folklore and the celebration of Diwali.
Her work is recognized for its warmth and storytelling strength, bringing together color, culture, and narrative to create imagery that is both joyful and deeply human.
