Sage Aries Dougherty is an American illustrator and designer based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She earned her BFA in Illustration from the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, where she was selected as a co-curator for the 2020 Senior Exhibition, 20/20 Vision. Her artistic practice is defined by a deep interest in nature and lore, which she translates through a distinctive digital style that incorporates diverse brushes and textures to achieve a mixed-medium, hand-crafted aesthetic.
Specializing in brand identity, product design, and editorial work, she has collaborated on various community-focused projects, including designing the official poster for Lancaster’s Print Crawl and creating educational visual assets for the City of Lancaster’s River Connections project. Her work often focuses on elevating everyday objects through botanical and whimsical motifs. In addition to her design practice, she has expanded her creative repertoire into tattoo artistry, working to translate her illustrative language into permanent skin art.
